The Marsh family settled on the Maranoa River between Mitchell and St George in the late 1860s. For over 150 years, they have lived in a remote location, with the closest medical help over 100 km away. The Royal Flying Doctor Service has assisted our family several times with transport to a major city for emergency treatment. We believe strongly in ensuring that people living in remote and isolated areas receive the finest healthcare wherever they are in Australia.
In Dad's memory, we would appreciate donations to the Royal Flying Doctor Service instead of flowers. We feel it is a fitting tribute that will make a difference in remote, rural, and regional communities.
